In the realm of environmental issues and causes, we’ve argued and fought so long and so hard we’ve nearly gotten away from the basic facts. It is in these basic facts that lies the strongest argument, the toughest fight of all, for fact, pure and simple, is irrefutable.

Oh, maybe legal eloquence can dance around the issue; maybe political rhetoric can pull off a little hocus pocus but in the end you are still left with nothing but the facts, ma’am, nothing but the facts. And it is reminding us of these facts that the best argument I’ve seen in a long time has come to my attention.
